MCCID College of Technology now has a new, bigger and permanent home. From a traffic-ridden, pollution infested and overcrowded Cubao, Quezon City where Manila Christian Computer Institute for the Deaf stayed for nearly five years, we are now in a cool, calm, spacious and relaxing home in San Mateo, Rizal.
Our home sits on a 6,000 sq. m. rolling hills property in Bgy. Silangan Road situated near the San Mateo – Marikina border across Nangka River. The site overlooks the lush greenery surrounding Timberland Hotel on its east and scenic view of Marikina City to its west.
From our old building in Cubao, Quezon City, please walk at Aurora Blvd. before EDSA towards Araneta Center. Then look for street corner C. Benitez St. It is near Sta. Rosa Transit Terminal.
You can ride a jeep named Cubao – Fortune – Silangan. Tell driver to stop at MCCID. Pay Php24 for jeep (regular) or Php20 for student fare. Travel time is 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on traffic in Marikina City.
If you come from Fairview, ride Commonwealth – Concepcion Marikina jeep. Then stop at Concepcion Market. Then you again ride Cubao – Fortune – Silangan jeep.
If you come from Pasig or Mandaluyong City, ride Cainta – Marikina jeep. Then stop at Bayan, Marikina City. Then you again ride Cubao – Fortune – Silangan jeep.
You can also ride Montalban – Cubao jeep in Santolan. Then stop at Concepcion Market. Then you again ride Cubao – Fortune – Silangan jeep.
If you want to ride a taxi, please tell the driver that our school is near the Marikina City (Fortune Tobacco) and San Mateo border (Bgy. Sto. Nino and Bgy. Silangan) NOT SAN MATEO – QUEZON CITY BORDER. Don’t go to the San Mateo Municipal Hall. MCCID is in the mountainous part of San Mateo, Rizal and not on the low-lying part.
