October Comic Strip Description:

October 2 Comic Strip Description

1st Frame: Jersona was signing while talking to Dianne but she is using her spoon and fork.

2nd Frame: Dianne talked back but she is using her hands.

3rd Frame: Jersona signed but her spoon fell away and hit the head of a senior gentleman from another table.

3rd Frame: The man stood up very angry. Jersona stumped on her seat while Dianne signed her saying "I told you not to sign while holding spoon and fork."

Explanation: It's difficult for a deaf person to chat while eating. That's why at times they were unaware that they're holding something while signing.

October 23 Comic Strip Description

1st Frame: Jersona was signing while going the stairs. She was greeting her friends who visited her in her house. She said "Hi friends! Nice of you to come ...."

2nd Frame: Then, Jersona fell on the stairs. She groaned, "Ouch, Ouch, Ouch!"

3rd Frame: Jersona signed but her spoon fell away and hit the head of a senior gentleman from another table.

3rd Frame: Everybody was laughing at the incident. Jersona moaned that her butt hurts. Dianne warned her by signing "HA HA HA. That's a lesson for you. Don't sign while walking down the stairs."

Explanation: Again, a deaf person is so focused on their signing that they neglect safety and becoming careless.

October 30 Comic Strip Description

1st Frame: Aldrin and Dianne visited a fastfood restaurant. The cashier gladly introduced their specialty for the day. She said, "Good Morning! Welcome to Bluewich Pizza. Our special for the day......" Aldrin and Dianne had question marks on their head.

2nd Frame: Then, Aldrin grabbed a piece of paper and wrote something. The carhier was quizzical.

3rd Frame: The lady was scratching her head. She said to herself, "Nubayan! Napagod lang ako ka-eexplain. Two softdrinks lang pala oorderin nila. Hay buhay!"

Explanation: It is worthless to explain something to a person who can't hear. It is also a predicament for a deaf since he may not know better things other people offer.
