| A total of twenty eight batch of graduating students participated in a seminar-workshop on Web Accessibility for two Saturdays, March 18 and 25 conducted by Sir Jojo I. Esposa Jr. and Sir Ervin R. Reyes held at MCCID Design Room. The students will then use the lessons they acquired for the web sites that they will create this summer. They are already scheduled to design working websites for Southeast Asian Institute for the Deaf, Laguna Christian Colleges for the Deaf, Abilympics Philippines and Stimulation and Therapeutic Activity Center. |

| During the workshop, the group created an action plan of the design that they will include in the websites that they are assigned to. Last April 11, the group visited the office of Director Catalina Fermin of the National Council for the Welfare of Disabled Persons (NCWDP) and presented their outputs from the seminar. Afterwards, Dir. Fermin, together with Ma'am Nelia De Jesus awarded the certificates of participation to the students.
After learning from the seminar-workshop attended by MCCID in 2004 at Tagaytay City, MCCID decided to incorporate web accessibility on the www.mccid.edu.ph and at the same time include accessibility features in the websites that they will create for free to their selected institutions for the deaf. |
