CAP College Alumni Team (heat) outpointed Miriam College-Southeast Asian Institute for the Deaf 96-94 in bagging the 1st Philippine Deaf Men's Basketball Tournament held last December 26, 2006 administered by the Philippine Deaf Life and Sports Club (PDLSC).

     In the awarding ceremony last December 30, five members of MCCID team won special awards. They are: Emil Zion Punzalan - Mythical 5; Jerome Marzan, Sir Oscar Purificacion and Jose Juan Bautista - Defense; and Ma'am Dianne Barcelona - Best Muse. MCCID also received the Plaque of Participation. Both MCCID Alumni (Angels) and MCCID Students (Kings) received a 2 - 2 win/loss card. They failed to qualify for the semi-finals.
