| As part of their culminating activity in CGD34 or Digital Video Editing Graphics subject, the 3rd year students of Diploma in Arts and Computer Design Technology (DACDT) presented a short drama play entitled "Deaf Stress" to MCCID students last Wednesday, April 12. They were able to use what they have learned from using the video editing program Pinnacle Studio Version 9 including placing closed captions. Using only the Canon Motion DV Studio Video Camera owned by Daryl Pineda, the group were able to create a dramatic situation on how a deaf person in the Philippines looks for possible but fruitless employment opportunity which proves to be very stressful to them. The short digital film was directed by Ms. Dianne Barcelona and stars Emmanuel Cruz as the deaf graduate and job seeker, Clara Isabel Agcaoili as the grandmother, Daryl Pineda the grandfather who lives abroad, Carlito Pasaporte as a deaf friend, Sarah Marie Bolano and Jerson Bandiola as hearing managers of companies, Maricel Elep as secretary, Rachel Ann Tapel as one of the students. Scences were shot in nearby streets in Quezon City as well as houses of deaf friends. |
