Four skilled graduates/students of Manila Christian Computer Institute for the Deaf were tasked to demonstrate their computer skills during the Job Fair for Persons with Disabilities 2006 held last May 27 at the Occupational Safety and Health Auditorium in Quezon City. No less than Philippine President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo graced the event which helps disabled citizens apply for jobs and or possible training. The yearly job fair was co-sponsored by the Technical Education and Skills Development Auhority (TESDA), Office of the President, Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the National Council for the Welfare of Disabled Persons (NCWDP). |

The students who demonstrated their skills are as follows: Aldrin Gabriel, Desktop Publishing using Adobe Pagemaker; Glenn Ortega, Web Page Designing using Macromedia Dreamweaver; Dianne Barcelona, Text Processing using MS Word and Daryl Pineda, Graphics Animation using Macromedia Flash. They were the gold medalists in the 12th Philippine National Skills Competition held last year. |
