Fun, entertainment, laughs, jeers, surprises, amusement and awe. These were the emotions that transpired during the gala celebration of the 14th Annual Founding Anniversary of MCCID last October 13, 2007 at Town and Country Hotel and Restaurant in Sta. Mesa, Manila.

2nd year act out a jeepney scene.

All sections and year levels presented their drama and comedy skits. The first and third year showcased their comedic skills while the second year students filled the place with their touching drama with focus on deaf culture. Added attraction was the video-showing of commercial spoof done by deaf actors and directed by their instructor, Sir Ervin Reyes. The videos have already been uploaded in YouTube since last November, 2007. More than 1,000 visitors have already viewed the videos in their computer screens worldwide.

Presentations were judged by MCCID alumni Emile Padullon, Rowena Jimenez and Dianne Barcelona. Winners received trophies and medals. They are:

  • Best Comedy Skit Group - 3rd Year DACDT
  • Best Deaf Culture Drama Group - 2nd Year DACDT/DBT
  • Best Actor in Comedy Skit - Daryl Desamparado
  • Best Actress in Comedy Skit - Dianne Kristine Tuazon

  • Best Commercial Spoof - Biolink VCO Hot Oil Commercial
  • Best Actor in Commercial Spoof - Villaflor Lagasca Jr.
