After transferring from the old site in Sta. Mesa, Manila which has been MCCID's home for more than eleven years, a Special Dedication Program was held last May 30, 2006 at the bigger and better place in Cubao, Quezon City. Pastor Gerry D. Ballesteros, Associate Pastor of Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church in Marikina City officiated the special dedication coinciding with the Baccalaureate Service for the graduating class of batch 2006. He gave Biblical advices to the students who will now be facing the challenges of the world of work environment. Special song numbers were learned through sign language as well as old favorite hymnals like "Great is Thy Faithfulness" were signed. |

A special altar invitation was given by Ptr. Gerry wherein many students professed their faith and asked the Lord Jesus Christ to come into their heart and accepted Him as their Lord and Savior. MCCID Board of Trustees and faculty were at odds in trying to solve the dilemma of the increased number of students while occupying a very expensive 100 square meter, 4th floor rented place at Sta. Mesa, Manila. After seeking guidance and will from God, He has led the school into a building that is very near Cubao. Since most of the students come from the northern part of the city, transferring to Cubao would certainly be convenient for them. MCCID now occupies two floors of VB Building along Aurora Blvd., with a combined floor area of 300 square meters, more than enough to house the ever increasing deaf population. |
