Smiling eyes, joyful hearts, kindred spirits, unabated smiles... These were what the MCCID administration and staff witnessed before the start of the annual Christmas Share-a-Toy and Gifts activity held at Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija last December 21.
A total of 30 children together with their parents from the poor barangays from District I to VI of this 3rd class municipality of Nueva Ecija were selected to receive assorted toys, a dozen apples and a lunch pack.

MCCID's sister school, Manila Christian Institute of Technology (MCIT) was the venue of this event. Their staff and students led by administrator Sir Roy Cleto, arranged the activity. MCIT also provided the sound system and prepared the packed lunch for the children.
The children were eagerly waiting as early as 8 in the morning. Few fun and games were also held for their enjoyment. Sir Jojo Esposa gave the welcome remarks and led the singing of Christmas carols. The Esposa nieces Patricia and Regina May hand over the toys and fruits. It was a pleasant sight to behold as children were enjoying the toys shared by the deaf students of Manila Christian Computer Institute for the Deaf.
MCCID started this activity in 2000 as a way of sharing God's bountiful blessing from students in Manila to the children of Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija. It all started when Sir Remberto Esposa, MCIT President noticed the homeless children from the adjacent market place climbing up the barbed fence just to get a glimpse of toys being played by the Esposa nieces.
Toys were Cuyapo families' lowest priority. They would rather work for food and clothing than buy toys for their kids. It was then the administrators decided to create this share-a-toy program.
