MCCID Bags Grand Prize in “IT Global Challenge Korea”

Ezekiel John Erpelo, freshman MCCID student, brought home Grand Prize in e-Life Category during the ‘IT Global Challenge for Youth with Disabilities’ in Song Do University, Incheon, Korea held from October 30 – November 2,2012.

Aside from Erpelo, the 6-man “Make the Right Real Team Philippines” brought home another grand champion in e-Life for Caroll Ann de Belen (Deaf) from Manila High School and a special award in Slogan Making Contests for Joseph Gabriel Vesagas (Independent Learning Center). Erpelo won in Google Search category while De Belen won in MS Word and MS Excel category.

The 6-man “MAKE THE RIGHT REAL- TEAM PHILIPPINES” led by the National Council on Disability Affairs staff Jennifer Garcia represented the country and bested other bets from 27 countries in this event held last October 29 to November 2, 2012. Ms. Garcia, herself with disability was the Team Coordinator, and was one of the presentors who spoke on “Accessible ICT in the Philippines”.
