Congratulations to the participants from various government agencies on the 3-day Deaf Sensitivity and Conversational Sign Language Training sponsored by the National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA) which was held on September 24 to 26, 2018 at CityState Tower Hotel in Manila. Dubbed “Training on Bridging Communication Disability for Government Frontline Service”, the activity aims to equip government front desk officers on how to handle Persons who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing in getting their services.
MCCID’s Deaf Instructors Sir Ervin Reyes and Moises Libot assign sign names to the hearing participants and act on role-playing activity while MCCID Training Director Jojo Esposa leads the training. Former NCDA Chief Nelia De Jesus taught sign language songs to the participants. Philippine Federation of the Deaf President Carolyn Dagani also graced the event and gave her insights on deaf’s needs and concerns in accessing vital government services.
Representatives of the Philippine National Police Women’s Help desk participate in a role-playing activity where two deaf person requests for assistance. The policewomen don’t know sign language and need to help them on the spot. This activity was part of a sign language training conducted by MCCID from September 24-26, 2018. Good day po…I am mother of 17years old son with ADHD…studying in in a reagular schol grade 11..I would to inquire is it possible for my son to enroll in your school ..honestly my has difficulty in understanding comprehension and not able to express what he wants to say..he could speak like an 10 year old kid…Please help Thank you.
