MCCID Trains UCPB Bank Employees


MCCID Training Director Jojo Esposa Jr. together with Deaf Student Lucky McGill Paltep conducted a whole day conversational sign language seminar with the United Coconut Planters Bank Employees last April 22 at UCPB Main Office in Makati Ave, Makati City.

The sign language training was requested by the UCPB officers and staff led by Ms. Stella Ma. A. Fulgencio, Organizational Development Department Head and Ms. Rosario M. Dayrit, Human Resources Group Head. Mr. Michael Mapua, Organization Development Officer. They contacted MCCID College through the school\’s official website and asked about how they can learn sign language.

They explained that one of their employees, Beaver Mark Barcinas is a deaf person. He has been working with UCPB IT division since 2007. Due to his exceptional work, the company hired him as a permanent employee. They also promised to accept more deaf workers in their training programs. Beaver is a graduate of Similar Posts:

    UCPB’s initiative to teach sign language to it’s employees is a wise move. This should equip it’s employees with the necessary tool in dealing with hearing-impaired clients.
